- Assess your concerns and goals
- Evaluate your anatomy
- Discuss appropriate treatment options
- Set realistic expectations
- Answer all your questions
- Create a customized treatment plan
However, if you’re familiar with a treatment and have received it before, many of our services can be performed walk-in or same-day with minimal consultation.

Results timing varies by treatment:
Immediate:

- Opus Plasma (results last 1-2+ years; collagen improvement is long-lasting)
Individual results vary. Regular maintenance treatments help sustain results.
Can treatments be combined?
Yes! Many patients achieve their best results by combining treatments. Popular combinations include:
- Liquid Facelift: Botox + dermal fillers for comprehensive facial rejuvenation
- Full Face Enhancement: Botox + lip filler + cheek filler
- Jawline Sculpting: Kybella + jawline filler + Botox for masseter reduction
- Skin + Volume: Opus Plasma + dermal fillers
- Complete Rejuvenation: Neurotoxins + fillers + laser treatments
During your consultation, we’ll recommend the most effective combination for your goals and budget.
Are results natural-looking?
Absolutely. YouthFill MD’s philosophy is to enhance your natural beauty – not create an artificial or “overdone” look.
Dr. Hopp trains all injectors to:
- Respect your natural facial structure
- Create balanced, proportional results
- Use conservative amounts (you can always add more)
- Focus on subtle enhancement rather than dramatic transformation
Our patients consistently report that people notice they look refreshed, rested, and more youthful – but can’t quite pinpoint what changed. That’s the hallmark of excellent injectable work.
What if I don't like my results?
Patient satisfaction is our priority. If you’re not happy with your results:
For neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport):
- Effects are temporary and will fade naturally over 3-4 months
- In rare cases of asymmetry, we can make adjustments with additional product
For hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero):
- These fillers are reversible with an enzyme called hyaluronidase
- We can dissolve filler partially or completely if needed
- Adjustments can usually be made within days
For other treatments:
- We’ll work with you to address concerns and achieve your desired outcome
- Follow-up appointments are available to assess and adjust as needed
We encourage open communication. If something doesn’t feel right, tell us immediately so we can help.
Are aesthetic injectable treatments safe?
Yes, when performed by trained medical professionals using FDA-approved products.
Treatments like Botox and dermal fillers have excellent safety records, with millions of procedures performed annually worldwide. Serious complications are rare.
At YouthFill MD, safety is our top priority:

What is Botox?
Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA-approved injectable neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes muscles to smooth wrinkles and fine lines. It’s the most popular cosmetic treatment worldwide, with millions of treatments performed annually.
Botox works by blocking nerve signals to specific facial muscles, preventing the muscle contractions that create dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles that form with facial expressions).
What's the difference between Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin?
All four are neurotoxin injectables that work similarly to relax muscles and smooth wrinkles. The differences are subtle:
Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA)
- Original and most widely known brand
- Longest track record of safety and efficacy
- Takes 3-7 days to show results, full effect at 10-14 days
Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA)
- May spread slightly more than Botox (beneficial for larger areas like forehead)
- May show results slightly faster (2-5 days)
- Some patients feel it lasts slightly longer
Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA)
- Newest FDA-approved neurotoxin
- Sometimes called “Newtox”
- Similar onset and duration to Botox
- Often priced competitively
Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA)
- “Naked neurotoxin” (no accessory proteins)
- May reduce risk of antibody formation with repeated use
- Similar onset and duration to Botox
Your YouthFill MD injector can recommend which product is best for your needs and treatment areas.
What areas can be treated with Botox?
Common treatment areas include:
Upper Face:
- Forehead lines (horizontal wrinkles)
- Frown lines (glabellar lines between eyebrows/”11s”)
- Crow’s feet (lines around eyes)
- Bunny lines (wrinkles on nose)
- Eyebrow lift (non-surgical brow elevation)
Mid Face:
- Under-eye lines
- Cheek wrinkles
Lower Face:
- Lip flip (enhance upper lip without filler)
- Gummy smile correction
- Chin dimpling (“orange peel” chin)
- Downturned mouth corners
Neck:
- Platysmal bands (vertical neck cords)
- “Nefertiti lift” (jawline definition)
Other Uses:
- Masseter reduction (jaw slimming)
- Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) – underarms, hands, feet
TMJ/jaw tension relief
Does Botox hurt?
Most patients describe Botox injections as a quick pinch or mild discomfort. The needles are very fine, and the entire injection process takes just minutes.
We can apply numbing cream before treatment if you’re particularly sensitive, though most patients find this unnecessary.
How many units of Botox will I need?
The number of units varies based on:
- Treatment areas
- Muscle strength
- Desired level of correction
- Your gender (men typically need more units)
- Previous Botox experience
Average units by area:
- Forehead: 10-20 units
- Frown lines (11s): 15-25 units
- Crow’s feet: 8-16 units per side
- Brow lift: 2-5 units
- Lip flip: 4-6 units
- Masseter (jaw slimming): 25-50 units per side
A typical “full face” treatment ranges from 40-60 units total.
During your consultation, your injector will assess your needs and provide an accurate unit estimate.
How long does Botox last?
Botox typically lasts 3-4 months. However, duration varies by individual and treatment area.
Factors affecting longevity:
- Metabolism (faster metabolism = shorter duration)
- Muscle strength (stronger muscles may metabolize faster)
- Treatment area (some areas last longer than others)
- Units used (higher doses may last slightly longer)
- Treatment frequency (regular users may experience longer-lasting results over time)
Most patients schedule maintenance treatments every 3-4 months to maintain results.
When will I see Botox results?
- Initial effects: 3-5 days
- Full results: 10-14 days
- Peak effect: Around 2 weeks
Some patients notice improvement sooner, especially with Dysport. Wait the full two weeks before assessing results – this is when we can evaluate if touch-ups are needed.
Can Botox prevent wrinkles?
Yes! When used preventatively, Botox can slow or prevent the formation of dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles caused by repeated muscle movements).
Many patients in their late 20s and early 30s use “preventative Botox” in small doses to:
- Stop wrinkles before they form
- Break habits like excessive frowning
- Maintain smoother skin longer
Starting Botox before deep wrinkles set in is often more effective than treating established lines later.
What should I avoid after Botox?
For the first 24 hours after treatment:
Do NOT:
- Lie down or bend over for 4 hours (keeps product from migrating)
- Exercise vigorously or engage in strenuous activity
- Get facials, massages, or other facial treatments
- Consume excessive alcohol
- Rub or massage the treated areas
You CAN:
- Return to normal daily activities immediately
- Apply makeup (though waiting a few hours is ideal)
- Shower and wash your face gently
- Take over-the-counter pain relievers if needed (avoid aspirin/ibuprofen)
Following these guidelines helps ensure optimal results and reduces risk of bruising or product migration.
Is Botox safe?
Yes. Botox has been FDA-approved for cosmetic use since 2002 and has an excellent safety profile when administered by trained professionals.
With over 20 years of cosmetic use and millions of treatments performed worldwide annually, Botox is one of the most studied and safest cosmetic procedures available.
At YouthFill MD:
- All injectors are trained by Dr. David Hopp
- We use only FDA-approved products
- We follow strict safety protocols
- We thoroughly review your medical history before treatment
Serious complications are extremely rare when Botox is performed correctly.
Who should NOT get Botox?
Botox may not be appropriate if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a neuromuscular disorder (myasthenia gravis, ALS, etc.)
- Are allergic to botulinum toxin or any Botox ingredients
- Have an active infection or skin condition in the treatment area
- Are taking certain medications (aminoglycosides, muscle relaxants)
- Have unrealistic expectations about results
Discuss your full medical history during your consultation to ensure Botox is safe for you.

Can men get Botox?
Absolutely! “Brotox” is increasingly popular. Men typically:
- Need higher doses due to stronger facial muscles
- Request more subtle results that maintain a masculine appearance
- Focus on forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet
YouthFill MD treats many male patients across all locations. Our injectors understand male facial anatomy and aesthetic goals.
Will I look frozen or unnatural?
Not when Botox is performed correctly. The “frozen” look comes from:
- Using too much product
- Treating areas that should retain movement
- Poor injection technique
At YouthFill MD, Dr. Hopp trains all injectors to create natural, expressive results. We use conservative amounts, strategically placed, to soften wrinkles while preserving your natural facial expressions.
You should still be able to smile, frown, and show emotion – just without the accompanying deep wrinkles.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles, enhance facial contours, and add definition to features like lips, cheeks, and jawline.
Most fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally found in your skin that attracts and retains moisture. HA fillers are temporary, biocompatible, and reversible if needed.
What's the difference between Botox and fillers?
Botox and neurotoxins:
- Relax muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles from facial expressions)
- Prevent wrinkles from forming or worsening
- Work best on forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet
Fillers:
- Add volume and structure to areas that have lost fullness
- Fill in static wrinkles (wrinkles present at rest)
- Enhance features like lips, cheeks, jawline, chin
- Work best for volume loss, deep folds, facial contouring
Many patients use both – Botox for wrinkles and fillers for volume – for comprehensive rejuvenation.
What types of fillers does YouthFill MD offer?

- Juvederm Ultra/Ultra Plus – Lip enhancement, facial lines
- Juvederm Voluma – Cheek volume, midface lifting

- Natural-looking results with minimal swelling
Your injector will recommend the best filler(s) for your specific needs and goals.
What areas can be treated with fillers?
Dermal fillers can enhance virtually any area of the face:
Lips:
- Volume enhancement (fuller lips)
- Border definition
- Asymmetry correction
- Vertical lip lines (smoker’s lines)
Cheeks & Midface:
- Volume restoration
- Non-surgical cheek lift
- Under-eye hollows (tear troughs)
- Temple volume
Lower Face:
- Nasolabial folds (smile lines from nose to mouth)
- Marionette lines (lines from mouth corners to chin)
- Chin augmentation and projection
- Jawline contouring and definition
- Jowl softening
Other Areas:
- Nose reshaping (non-surgical rhinoplasty)
- Forehead contouring
- Earlobe rejuvenation
Hand rejuvenation
Do lip fillers hurt?
Most patients experience mild discomfort during lip injections, described as pressure or pinching rather than sharp pain.
To minimize discomfort, we:
- Apply topical numbing cream before treatment
- Use ultra-fine needles or blunt-tip cannulas
- Use fillers that contain lidocaine (local anesthetic)
- Work efficiently to complete treatment quickly
Most patients find lip injections very tolerable, and the entire process takes just 15-20 minutes.
Will my lips look fake or overdone?
Not when fillers are done correctly. The “overfilled” look comes from:
- Using too much product at once
- Poor injection technique
- Not respecting natural lip proportions
- Ignoring individual facial anatomy
YouthFill MD’s philosophy is natural enhancement. We:
- Start conservatively (you can always add more later)
- Respect your natural lip shape and proportions
- Focus on balance and harmony with your facial features
- Listen to your goals and concerns
Most of our patients achieve beautifully enhanced lips that look plump, natural, and proportional – not artificial or exaggerated.
How much filler will I need?
The amount varies based on:
- Treatment area
- Degree of volume loss
- Your aesthetic goals
- Your anatomy
Typical amounts:
- Lips: 0.5-2 syringes (1 syringe for subtle enhancement, 2+ for significant volume)
- Cheeks: 1-3 syringes per side
- Nasolabial folds: 0.5-1 syringe per side
- Under-eyes: 0.5-1 syringe per side
- Jawline: 2-4 syringes total
- Chin: 1-2 syringes
Many patients start conservatively with one area, see how they respond, and add more at follow-up appointments.
Your injector will assess your needs during consultation and provide a treatment plan with cost estimate.
How long do dermal fillers last?
Duration depends on the filler type and treatment area:
6-9 months:
- Lip fillers (high movement area metabolizes faster)
- Belotero for fine lines
9-12 months:
- Restylane, Juvederm for facial lines
- Nasolabial folds, marionette lines
12-18 months:
- Cheek fillers (Juvederm Voluma, Restylane Lyft)
- Most facial contouring
18-24+ months:
- Radiesse (plus collagen-stimulating effects)
- Some volumizing fillers in low-movement areas
Individual metabolism, lifestyle, and treatment area all affect longevity. Touch-ups help maintain results over time.
Can fillers be dissolved?
Yes! Hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero) can be partially or completely dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase.
This makes HA fillers very safe – if you don’t like your results or experience a complication, we can reverse the filler within days.
Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite) cannot be dissolved but will naturally metabolize over time.
What should I avoid after filler injections?
For 24-48 hours after treatment:
Avoid:
- Strenuous exercise
- Excessive heat (saunas, hot tubs, intense sun exposure)
- Alcohol consumption
- Dental work or facial treatments
- Blood-thinning medications if possible (aspirin, ibuprofen)
- Sleeping on your face (sleep on your back if possible)
You can:
- Apply ice to reduce swelling
- Take Tylenol for discomfort if needed
- Gently cleanse your face
- Apply makeup (after 12-24 hours)
- Return to normal activities
Swelling and bruising are normal and typically resolve within a few days to a week.
Are dermal fillers safe?
Yes, when administered by trained professionals using FDA-approved products. Hyaluronic acid fillers have been used cosmetically for over 20 years with an excellent safety record.
At YouthFill MD:
- All injectors are Dr. Hopp-trained in proper technique and facial anatomy
- We use only FDA-approved, authentic products from authorized distributors
- We follow strict safety protocols and hygiene standards
- We thoroughly assess your medical history before treatment
Serious complications are rare when fillers are placed correctly by experienced injectors who understand facial vascular anatomy.
Who should NOT get dermal fillers?
Fillers may not be appropriate if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have severe allergies or history of anaphylaxis
- Are allergic to lidocaine or hyaluronic acid
- Have an active infection or skin condition in the treatment area
- Have a bleeding disorder
- Have unrealistic expectations
Some medical conditions require extra caution. Discuss your full medical history during your consultation.
What is Kybella?
Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that permanently destroys fat cells under the chin (submental fat), creating a more contoured jawline and profile – without surgery.
The active ingredient (deoxycholic acid) is a naturally occurring molecule that breaks down and absorbs dietary fat. When injected into submental fat, it destroys fat cells, which are then naturally eliminated by your body.
How many Kybella treatments will I need?
Most patients require 2-4 treatment sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results.
The number of treatments depends on:
- Amount of submental fat
- Your desired degree of improvement
- How your body responds to treatment
During your consultation, we’ll assess your chin profile and recommend a treatment plan.
Is Kybella permanent?
Yes! Once Kybella destroys fat cells, they cannot regenerate. The results are permanent – as long as you maintain a stable weight.
Significant weight gain after treatment can cause remaining fat cells to enlarge, potentially affecting your results. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle helps preserve your improved jawline contour.
Does Kybella hurt?
Kybella involves multiple small injections under the chin, which can cause discomfort. Most patients describe it as:
- Burning or stinging sensation during injection
- Pressure and fullness
- Moderate discomfort that subsides quickly
We use ice, topical numbing cream, and nerve blocks to minimize discomfort. The injection process takes about 15-20 minutes.
What are the side effects of Kybella?
Common side effects include:
Expected (almost everyone):
- Swelling (can be significant for 1-2 weeks)
- Numbness in the treatment area (temporary)
- Tenderness
Common:
- Bruising
- Firmness or hardness under the chin
- Redness
Less common:
- Difficulty swallowing (temporary)
- Uneven smile (temporary nerve effect)
- Small nodules or bumps under the skin
Most side effects resolve within 2-4 weeks. Swelling is typically most pronounced after the first treatment and improves with subsequent sessions.
When will I see Kybella results?
Results develop gradually as your body metabolizes the destroyed fat cells:
- 2-4 weeks: Initial improvement visible as swelling subsides
- 6-8 weeks: Continued improvement
- 8-12 weeks: Final results after each treatment session
Most patients complete their treatment series (2-4 sessions) over 3-6 months, with final results visible 2-3 months after the last treatment.
Can Kybella be used for body fat?
Kybella is FDA-approved only for submental fat (under the chin). While the active ingredient can destroy fat cells anywhere, it’s not approved for other body areas and can cause significant swelling and discomfort.
Other treatments may be more appropriate for body contouring. Discuss your goals during your consultation.
Am I a good candidate for Kybella?
Good Kybella candidates:
- Have noticeable submental fat (“double chin”)
- Have good skin elasticity (skin can contract after fat reduction)
- Are at or near their ideal body weight
- Want to avoid surgery
- Have realistic expectations about gradual results
Kybella works best for mild to moderate submental fat. Very severe cases may be better addressed with liposuction or other surgical options.
What is Opus Plasma?
Opus Plasma is an advanced fractional plasma skin resurfacing treatment that:
- Tightens loose skin
- Reduces wrinkles and fine lines
- Improves skin texture and tone
- Minimizes acne scars and other scarring
- Stimulates collagen production
It uses plasma energy (ionized gas) to create controlled micro-injuries that trigger your skin’s natural healing and collagen production – with less downtime than traditional CO2 lasers.
How does laser hair removal work?
Laser hair removal uses concentrated light energy to target and destroy hair follicles, preventing future hair growth.
The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicle, heating and damaging it without harming surrounding skin. Over multiple treatments, this results in permanent hair reduction.
How many laser hair removal sessions will I need?
Most patients require 6-8 treatment sessions spaced 4-8 weeks apart for optimal permanent hair reduction.
Multiple sessions are necessary because:
- Hair grows in cycles (only actively growing hair can be effectively treated)
- Different follicles are active at different times
- Multiple treatments ensure all follicles are targeted during their growth phase
After completing your treatment series, most patients achieve 70-90% permanent hair reduction. Occasional maintenance sessions may be needed.
Does laser hair removal work on all skin types and hair colors?
Modern laser technology (like our Soprano Ice system) can safely treat most skin types, including darker skin tones.
Best results:
- Dark hair on light skin (highest contrast)
Good results:
- Dark hair on medium to olive skin
- Brown hair on any skin tone
Limited effectiveness:
- Blonde, red, or gray hair (less melanin for laser to target)
- Very light or white hair
During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin and hair type and let you know what results to expect.
Is laser hair removal painful?
Most patients describe laser hair removal as:
- Mild snapping or rubber band sensation
- Warm or tingling feeling
- Generally tolerable discomfort
Our Soprano Ice technology includes a cooling mechanism that minimizes discomfort during treatment. Most patients find it much more comfortable than waxing.
Sensitivity varies by body area – underarms and bikini areas may be slightly more sensitive than legs or arms.
What should I expect after Opus Plasma?
Immediately after treatment:
- Redness and warmth (like a sunburn)
- Minor swelling
- Grid-pattern marks where plasma was applied
Days 1-3:
- Continued redness
- Mild to moderate peeling may begin
- Skin may feel dry and tight
Days 3-7:
- Flaking and peeling (like after a sunburn)
- New, fresh skin emerging underneath
Week 2+:
- Redness fades
- Skin continues improving
- Collagen production increases over following months
Most patients can return to normal activities within 5-7 days. Full results develop over 3-6 months as collagen rebuilds.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling (also called collagen induction therapy) uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This triggers your body’s natural wound healing process, stimulating:
- Collagen production
- Elastin production
- Skin regeneration
The result is smoother, firmer skin with improved texture and reduced appearance of scars, wrinkles, and pores.
What can microneedling treat?
Microneedling effectively addresses:
- Acne scars
- Surgical scars
- Stretch marks
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Large pores
- Uneven skin texture
- Sun damage and pigmentation
- Dull or aging skin
It works on face, neck, décolletage, hands, and body.
Does microneedling hurt?
Most patients describe microneedling as:
- Mild to moderate discomfort
- Scratching or vibrating sensation
- Slight pressure
We apply topical numbing cream 20-30 minutes before treatment to minimize discomfort. Most patients tolerate the procedure very well.
How many microneedling sessions do I need?
Most patients need 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results.
Mild concerns (texture, pores) may improve with 3 sessions, while more significant issues (deep acne scars, stretch marks) may require 6 or more treatments.
Improvement is cumulative – results build with each session as collagen continues developing.
What's the downtime after microneedling?
Immediately after:
- Redness and warmth (like a mild sunburn)
- Mild swelling possible
24-48 hours:
- Continued redness (can usually be covered with makeup after 24 hours)
- Skin may feel dry or tight
- Minor flaking possible
Day 3+:
- Redness fades
- Skin returns to normal
Most patients can resume normal activities within 1-3 days. Avoid strenuous exercise, sun exposure, and harsh skincare for a few days post-treatment.
What is Asclera vein therapy?
Asclera can treat spider veins and small varicose veins on:
- Legs (most common)
- Face (using specialized techniques)
- Hands
- Other body areas
What areas can be treated?
Microneedling (also called collagen induction therapy) uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This triggers your body’s natural wound healing process, stimulating:
- Collagen production
- Elastin production
- Skin regeneration
The result is smoother, firmer skin with improved texture and reduced appearance of scars, wrinkles, and pores.
What are vitamin B12 shots?
Vitamin B12 injections deliver high doses of vitamin B12 (cobalamin) directly into your muscle for maximum absorption.
B12 supports:
- Energy production
- Metabolism and fat burning
- Mental clarity and focus
- Mood regulation
- Red blood cell production
Nervous system health
Who benefits from B12 injections?
B12 shots may benefit people who:
- Feel chronically fatigued or low energy
- Follow vegetarian or vegan diets (B12 is primarily found in animal products)
- Have digestive issues that impair B12 absorption
- Take certain medications that interfere with B12 (metformin, PPIs)
- Are over age 50 (natural absorption decreases with age)
- Want to support weight loss and metabolism
How often should I get B12 shots?
Frequency depends on your individual needs:
Maintenance: Once per month
Energy/metabolism support: Every 1-2 weeks
Addressing deficiency: Weekly until levels normalize, then maintenance
Your body excretes excess B12, so it’s generally safe to receive frequent injections. We’ll recommend a schedule based on your goals and response.
What are cortisone injections for acne?
Cortisone (steroid) injections quickly reduce inflammation in large, painful acne cysts. A diluted corticosteroid is injected directly into the cyst, causing it to:
- Shrink rapidly (often within 24-48 hours)
- Reduce pain and inflammation
- Prevent scarring
This treatment is ideal for stubborn cystic acne that doesn’t respond to topical treatments.
